Location:-
Motorway and come off at Junction 9 of the M9 and head towards Plean (which is located off the St Andrews road from the M9 Junction 9 roundabout). Once in Plean, it is signposted, drive past the Precast and it's about 150 yards beyond here for a late night parking spot or during the day you can use the parking on-site.

Description:-
Country Park with trails littered around the park and with a couple of trails on the outskirts of the Park. Nice play area, nothing overly technical but plenty of twisty rooty stuff. Torwood is at the back of this and a loop can be had which can include trails from LArbert over to Torwood and then into Plean if you want to extend the ride and increase the technical content of the ride (although this also increases road miles).

It is a well used park by walkers/families/horse riders but the vast majority of trails are well sighted and offer some nice riding.

Is good for an hour or so of playing about on the bike.

Great for a leg stretch and twist amongst the trees or to link up with surrounding trails to make a bigger ride.

Length: 3.2 Miles
Ascent: 75 m
Time: 0.5 hrs
Tech Grade: Moderate
Fitness Grade: Easy

Description:-
Using the outer trails of the Park, this creates the largest loop of the Park. Includes some climbs (all non-technical), some nice fast swoopy sections and plenty of in-between-the-trees type stuff. Nothing overly steep or overly-technical but a couple of bits can catch you out if you get the speed wrong. There are plenty of trails that criss-cross the park, but this loop is the largest without crossing the same trail more than once.

Almost all the trail is on bings so it drains well until you get to the lower sections then it can be a touch damp.

A cracking wee leg spinner with some great technical bits and pieces - it isn't long but it does leave a huge grin on my face!

Description:-
Using the Outer Loop of Plean Country Park and adding some an extra wider loop that incvludes Torwood, you get a wee cracker of a ride. Torwood has some cracking views and is nice and twisty in amongst the trees with plenty of rooty bits and pieces.
Torwood has some cracking singletrack and well worth a wee explore but linking it in with Plean gives a decent distance and good variety of terrain.
