  5. “Change History” means the records which are kept in a publically accessible part of the Site detailing which users made changes to the Content, and when.

Origin and Validity of the Content


Origin of the Content
The Site provides a data storage framework for mountain bike trail information. It does not provide Content. All of the Content on the Site originates from the Users of the Site. The Users are entirely responsible for their Content and any harm resulting from it. The Developer is not responsible for the Content on the Site.

Validation or Verification of Content
The Developer of the Site does NOT carry out any validation or verification of the Content posted to the Site by its Users. The Content represents an unverified indication of various Users’ own personal opinions.

Editorial Control
Editorial control over the Content resides with the Users of the Site. While it is hoped that the self-regulating community based data gathering model used by the Site will result in useful and accurate information accumulating, this is dependant on the extent to which the Site’s Users exercise their editorial control.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes.


Health And Safety


Mountain Biking is a Dangerous Sport
The easiest and most innocuous mountain biking trail can be dangerous if tackled incorrectly or with insufficient skill and caution. It is your responsibility to assess risks as you find them and to ensure you only attempt to ride trails within your capability based on what you find in reality at your chosen real-world riding location (not based on Content from the Site).

The Extent to which the Content may be relied upon
None of the Content, or any other information provided anywhere on the Site should be used in any way to influence decisions you make which may have a bearing on your safety.


Right of Access to Land


Implied Right of Access
There is NO right of access implied simply by the inclusion of a trail’s details on the Site. You may, or may not have a right to access. It is always your responsibility to independently ensure that you have a right to cycle over the land you intend to use.

The Scottish Outdoor Access Code
Statutory access rights and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code are now in effect. They came into effect on February 9th 2005. This code gives cyclists in Scotland various rights and responsibilities. Full details can be found at www.outdooraccess-scotland.com


Offensive or Adult Content


Policy on Offensive or Adult Content
It is Site policy that all Content should be suitable for children of 12 years and older, and that it should not be in any way offensive or discriminatory. We ask our Users to refrain from the use of unsuitable language, and from uploading any pictures or videos which are of an offensive or adult nature.

What to do if you Discover Offensive or Adult Content on the Site
If there is likely to be some debate about the suitability of an item, then in the first instance you should post a comment about it in the members’ discussion forum. However, if you feel strongly that the item is unquestionably unsuitable, you should use your own access to the Site’s editing tools to remove or edit the problem yourself.
