Description:-
Coed Llandegla Forest. A large recreational orientated, commercial forest with fully developed visitor/MTB facilities has mountain biking trails suitable for beginners and family groups, more challenging routes for experienced bikers; and a choice of picturesque walking trails. If you are looking for the Welsh version of Glentress then this comes pretty close in my opinion.

Time: 3 hrs

Description:-
A series of black runs (6km) which are accessible only from the Intermediate Route. Together, the red and black routes comprise of 21km of trail. The black runs are predominantly steeper downhill stretches with more challenging technical features. Commensurate with this there are sections of steep, technically challenging climbs. Expect long sections of steep, largely stable but unsurfaced trail of 0.6m or greater and unavoidable obstacles with large steps, gaps and dropoffs. Some timber structures have exposed edges and a trail width of only 1 metre,

Time: 1 hr
Tech Grade: Easy
Fitness Grade: Easy
Av. Trail Rating:

Description:-
This is a great route to try before embarking on the longer ‘Red Route’ A gradual climb up through the forest until it diverges from the Red at the top. An enjoyable route back to the Centre is mostly comprised of gradual downhills - interspersed with a few gentle uphill sections, just to keep you on your toes! There are a selection of small humps and other features to add a degree of challenge! Can be wet and muddy in places depending on the weather conditions.

Overall comments about Coed Llandegla Forest

I was at Llandegla last Sunday 25 Nov. Recent forestry work has re-routed the climb up from the carpark and it is mostly on forest roads but there are lots of very good additions to the trail network... read whole comment...
