Description:-
Use this run as a quick blast or the start to link up to other circuits around Pitlochry.

Starting from Escape Route car park you head in to Pitlochry taking a left at Victoria's Restaurant and continuing under the rail bridge.
This takes you down to the Recreation ground and left across the suspension Bridge at Port na Craig , with the Festival Theatre and Dam to your Right.
Left off the Bridge brings you across the B road and straight over that a wee steep climb up to the A9. Cross this with care and settle in to the main climb of the route, which quickly gives great views over the strath and on to Ben Vrachie.
The climb continues and eases a bit as it continues in to the forest, still on the fire road. Follow this and continue straight on , not turning left for Strathtay.
This heads for the Moor with the Mast on your Right hand side.
The Moor singletrack leads to a great view over Pitlochry and Killiecrankie.
It also offers fantastic views of Carn Laith and Beinn O Ghlo.
The Moor its self can be fairly wet and I avoid it when its been really wet ( More for washing of kit reasons than any other).
The singletrack continues and leads to a great descent with the ever present Puncture zone/Water bar. You have been warned!
Soon you'll be at the Deer gate which once you are through the best option by far is to go Left at the fireroad. This leads to a fast winding descent, again can be very muddy during Harvesting and wet weather.
You'll eventually find it leveling out at a big left hand turn, at this point dive left left down a great wee trail to bring you on to the Finnish of this run.
You exit the woods and a right turn will bring you on to the A9 again.
Cross the A9 and a Left turn takes you on the Foss road for a few hundred mtrs until you are under the flyover where you'll see the aluminum bridge. This gives you great views of the Green Park hotel on the banks of Loch Fascally.
(If you continue along the Foss road you'll be heading for Coronation Bridge)
A Right turn over the Bridge takes you back past the Boating station and back to Pitlochry.
Coffee Awaits at Escape Route!
