Description:-
This trail takes in some of the trails at cambusbarron and the North Third cliff top.

Take the fire road climb from the car park up to the quarry, take some time here to play on the jumps and berms etc Continue up the same track which truns to the left and steeply up a loose climb. As you get to the top on the main track, there is a single track to the left, this is the way to the top of the main Cambusbarron trails.

Continue on the main track, there are options left and right and most lead to the track at the bottom of the hill. Some of these or rooty with nice corners others are straight wide tracks. Head to the track at the bottom, turn right towards polmaise rd.

Turn right onto polmaise rd. Go a few hundred yards and turn left onto a bridleway. Follow this to the road next to the motorway. Turn right at the t juncition (Chartershall rd). At the next junction turn right. And follow up to the large house and follow the bridle way up to the top of the cliffs at north third. Here the route shows going right, this is a very tricky descent wiyth big rops and a loose surface, (v.hard). (Alternatively, (still hard but more acheivable on a hardtail) turn left and go down to the right and back along the far side of the reservoir and back over the dam and meets up on the same fire road. )

Go straight across the fire road and undulate along the cliff (dont turn left!) This section is very tricky, lots of very steep descents and climbs. Follow the path as it turns to the right, still on top of the cliff and descend on the main path, Excellent decent, rough, rooty and really good fun. Go all the way down to the road, turn right onto the main road , go 200yrds up to the Quarry road and return through the quarry taking in on of the many trails through the trees.
