| You can cut out a lot of the road (6 miles) by turning hard right at the foot of the hill and following track past the deserted Balnansteuartach then through fields above A9 until it runs out at wooded burn. Pick up Route below where it crosses A9 and follow it back to Killiecrankie. The stone circle at the summit (100m off the track to N through a new wooden gate) is worth a visit. |
